White is an astrophysicist and data scientist celebrating over three decades of success. Since 2008, he has served as a senior data scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, contributing to a portfolio of artificial intelligence and autonomous experimentation projects. Previously, he notably excelled alongside such companies as Origin Systems and the University of Texas Fusion Research Center, and he completed award-winning work on robotic observatories for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Well-studied in his field, Mr. White has also published extensively on gamma-ray bursts and photovoltaic sites. To commemorate his contributions to the field, he has received numerous honors, including two President’s Awards and an Outstanding Mentor Award from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In his personal time, Mr. White participates in citizen science projects observing Colorado’s boreal toad and pika populations. He credits his success to his adaptability, curiosity and ability to make connections between disparate disciplines. He hopes to continue his work in autonomous experimentation, with the goal of creating technologies that will allow researchers to delegate tasks and expedite novel discoveries. Darwin Thangappan, the chief executive officer of ASIR Technologies, has distinguished himself in the technology sector for over 20 years. Since 2014, he has directed the company toward growth, having launched the new ACRA Suite product in San Antonio in 2019, marking a significant milestone. In his position, he has been crucial in expanding the company’s reach across the United States and Canada, overseeing company operations and goals, and implementing strategic direction and policies. Previously, Mr. Thangappan served as a development manager at Oracle between 2007 and 2014, where he aided in the enhancement of the user interface of JD Edwards Enterprise One and was responsible for its web runtime and portal module development. He started at Oracle in 2005 as a project lead in development. Earlier, he was an associate with Covansys from 2003 to 2004 and a business associate at Tata Consultancy Services from 2002 to 2003. To supplement his career experience, Mr. Thangappan received a BEng in mechanical engineering from the Karunya Institute of Technology. Notably, in 2014, he secured a patent for a computer user interface, which has since been used worldwide.
