A 32-year United States Army veteran, Mr. Wilson worked as a telecommunications specialist, information systems specialist, and cyber network defender and continued his technical focus in his civilian work. At MartinFed, he is responsible for both DFIR and threat hunting on a network consisting of over 30,000 devices using various tools while collaborating with and conducting cyber threat intelligence. In addition to his work in his industry, Mr. Wilson is an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he has taught since 2011. He identifies education and mentorship as some of the largest factors in his professional success and is passionate about helping others find the same support. Within the next decade, Mr. Wilson hopes to launch a company with his wife, with the goal of helping candidates and veterans with non-traditional educational backgrounds enter the field of cybersecurity. Acclaimed in the field of software engineering for over 15 years, Janet Wu is a senior DevOps engineer at Amentum, where she began in 2025. As part of her responsibilities, Ms. Wu leads the design, deployment, testing and operation of the DevSecOps infrastructure tools on the government cloud. As a woman in what is typically a male-dominated field, she is passionate about empowering fellow women engineers and emphasizing that success is achievable with focus, discipline and teamwork. Previously, Ms. Wu served as a senior software engineer at Agilebeat between 2024 and 2025 and as a site reliability engineer on the O365 team at Microsoft between 2022 and 2024, where she contributed significantly to the company’s technological advancements. Similarly, she was a senior site reliability engineer in the virtual networking organization at Oracle, an intermediate software developer and software engineer at XOR Security, a Java developer at Leidos, and a software engineer at Acision, among other roles. Ms. Wu graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in computer software engineering from Stratford University in 2017. She authored “Inspired: A Collection of Poems for the Soul” in 2021.
