19 Millennium - Twenty-first Edition Since commencing his career in 1975, Dr. James W. Greig II has garnered significant expertise in education, developmental psychology and military service. Now retired from full-time work, he has continued to teach as a part-time adjunct instructor at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, since 2010. Earlier in his career, he served with the United States Air Force for 23 years, holding several positions, such as chief of the training division, staff director of exercise plans and director of the analysis division. After concluding his military service, Dr. Greig worked in the civilian sector as an instructor for the JROTC at Saint Louis Public Schools from 1998 to 2000. Following the turn of the century, he served in numerous leadership roles, including as the deputy of education services for the 52 MSS from 2005 to 2007, provost of USAFE University from 2007 to 2009, and education program administrator for the Defense Contract Audit Agency from 2009 to 2016. Subsequently, he was the chief learning officer for the Air Mobility Command from 2016 to 2017, an adjunct faculty member at Rowan College of Burlington County from 2017 to 2018, and a community support coordinator for the Air Force Civilian Service in the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2024. To prepare for his career, Dr. Greig pursued a formal education at Cornell University, receiving a BA in philosophy in 1974. During his undergraduate studies, he was president of the Cornell chapter of Alpha Phi Omega and venerable dean of the Cornell chapter of the Acacia fraternity. Thereafter, he achieved an MA in counseling at Ball State University in 1980 and an MA in philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1985. Dr. Greig concluded his education with a PhD in educational psychology, with a focus on developmental psychology, from Capella University in 2008. Dr. Greig is a member of American Mensa, the American Psychological Association, the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry and the Military Officers Association of America, among others. He earned two civilian service awards for his work with the Air Force and the Defense Contract Audit Agency. JAMES W.
