She has also conducted nonpartisan civic engagement training and served as the chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin from 2001 to 2005. From 2006 to 2009, she was the executive director of Citizen Action of Wisconsin, where she led significant initiatives on social justice and public policy reform. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Honold served as the president of the Women’s Club of Wisconsin. Dr. Honold’s education includes a BA in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MS in industrial relations from the University of WisconsinMadison. In 1999, she obtained a Master of Arts in organization development and a PhD in human and organizational systems from Fielding Graduate University. Deeply engaged in her community, Dr. Linda K. Honold is well regarded as a social sector entrepreneur and organization development professional, as well as a qualitative researcher and writer with more than 30 years of professional experience. She commenced her career in 1990 as an independent organization development consultant at Empowerment Systems Inc. In 2009, she became the founding executive director of Wisconsin Voices, a nonprofit organization created to promote nonpartisan education and civic engagement, practices that stemmed from her volunteer service as the chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and as a nonpartisan civic engagement consultant who provided valuable tools and training to help local residents understand and engage in democratic processes. Since 2011, through her consulting firm Vision In Action, she has explored innovative management strategies and disseminated her findings to her community at large through public speaking and writing. Earlier in her career, Dr. Honold served as an area executive director for the Wisconsin chapter of the American Cancer Society Inc. and then as an organization development specialist at Johnsonville Sausage LLC.
