204 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL WORK, PUBLIC SERVICE, NONPROFIT AND HUMANITIES FOUNDER, OWNER A Family Tie Waterford, VA Doug Kobold has cultivated a fulfilling career as a public servant, boasting more than 20 years of experience in waste management program development and waste planning for Yolo County and Sacramento County. Since 2018, he has excelled as the executive director of the California Product Stewardship Council, a nonprofit advocating for increased manufacturer responsibility for products at the end of their usable lives. As the executive director, he is responsible for managing the organization and its direction, including working with its board and revenue sources to ensure that its mission is completed. Adjacent to his primary duties, Mr. Kobold holds leadership roles in several industry-related organizations, including the California Resource Recovery Association and the Solid Waste Association of North America. As part of his vocational journey, he earned a BS in civil engineering at California State University, Chico in 1992. Throughout his career, Mr. Kobold has gained an in-depth understanding of waste management and recycling at all levels. In the coming years, he hopes to utilize his position to help shift policy, manufacturing standards, and consumer behaviors to support sustainability. Peggy R. Breda is the founder and owner of A Family Tie, where she helps clients find and fund the best senior housing options for their loved ones. She began her career in the field of senior living at the age of 24 after earning a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University and struggling to find work in her rural area. She relocated to the Washington, DC, metro area to work with Sunrise Senior Living and quickly found her passion for working with seniors, rising to become the company’s director of marketing before returning to an operations position as executive director of a memory care community. A Family Tie brings decades of Ms. Breda’s experience with senior housing and connecting families to case management resources. In addition to her work with the company, she is the founder of the Floating Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit inspired by her late husband and dedicated to helping families afford assisted living care.
