He commenced his career as a U.S. Army infantry officer in 1977, serving four years of active duty and advancing to second lieutenant and captain. Highly educated, Dr. Munkeby received a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Montana in 1977. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California in 1983 and a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2007. Looking toward the future, Dr. Munkeby aims to expand the scope of NextGen Publications to increase publications and assist others in publishing their work. He cites helping others achieve their goals through problem-solving and effective collaboration as the highlight of his career. Dr. Steve Munkeby is widely regarded in the fields of authorship, publishing and academia, drawing upon over 40 years of professional excellence. He founded NextGen Publications LLC in 2024 and has since authored more than 15 books that emphasize the benefits of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to boost success in one’s life, profession and education. To this end, he authored the “AI Made Simple” series to empower seniors over 55 in their life endeavors and “From Camouflage to Corporate,” offering insights into transitioning from military to civilian life using AI. Similarly, his book “Synthesizing Truth” discusses concepts of personal understanding and acceptance amid a divided world. Prior to delving into full-time authorship, Dr. Munkeby was a part-time faculty member and adjunct professor at five universities between 2007 and 2024. During this time, he supervised 250 doctoral dissertations and capstone projects, having also co-authored “Qualitative Capstone Project Mastery” with Dr. Barb Turner. In 2017, Dr. Munkeby was named Faculty of the Year at Colorado Technical University in light of his success in higher education.
