A licensed home inspector in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, Mr. Stumm went on to earn a certified master inspector credential in 2016 and completed additional specialized training throughout his career, including a radon measurement professional certification. He began his career by completing coursework at Temple University before pivoting to the trades and securing an apprenticeship with the Carpenters Local Union 158 of Philadelphia in 1982. Mr. Stumm continued to master the building trades, and in 1990, he became the superintendent of the Haverstick-Borthwick Co., where he would remain for the next 24 years. Capitalizing on the expertise and diverse professional experience he accrued as a construction superintendent, he branched out into home inspections and entrepreneurship, leading to the establishment of ABC Home Inspections in 2011. The company offers both residential and commercial inspections to clients in the Philadelphia area, including routine inspections for property buyers and insurance, as well as targeted services such as radon and termite inspections.
