Previously, he managed successful Africa development projects, including the reconstruction of roads totaling $11.2 million, as well as the redevelopment of an airport road totaling $116 million, both in Liberia. Both projects greatly improved mobility and quality of life for tens of thousands of citizens in western Africa. As principal director at Havit Inc., Mr. Iweanoge is also managing the consultancy’s expansion into the energy and infrastructure sectors with the establishment of a new subsidiary, Havit Energy. Mr. Iweanoge serves as the chairman of the Governor’s Commission on African Affairs in Maryland, a position he has held since 2023. During his tenure, he has launched several initiatives including African Heritage Month. He also founded and chairs the Prince George’s County African Diaspora Advisory Board. Mr. Iweanoge’s commitment to excellence is demonstrated by his membership in leading organizations, including the Maryland African Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Real Estate Managers and the Black Law Students Association. Mr. Iweanoge has received several prestigious awards for his work, including the Leader Achievement Award from the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce, the African Living Legend Award from African Heritage, the African Diaspora Champion Award from the Diaspora Innovation Institute, the Leadership Honor Award from Impact Change, and the Global Influence Leadership Award. Mr. Iweanoge holds a JD from the University of the District of Columbia, a master’s degree in computer and information systems from Southeastern University, and a BS in real estate management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Nigeria.
