Since 2014, Mr. Crisafulli has served as the chief executive officer of Centurion Contracting & Consulting, where he continues to share his expertise and the unique perspective he developed during his time in the military. In recognition of his service, he is heavily decorated with medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star and the Southwest Asia Service ribbon. His accomplishments were included in Tom Clancy’s nonfiction book, “Shadow Warriors: Inside the Special Forces.” Additionally, he is featured in Michael Durant's book, “The Nightstalkers.” Mr. Crisafulli is a master aviator and holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in aviation, summa cum laude, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jim “Monk” Crisafulli is a United States Army veteran, a Special Operations flight instructor, a government contractor, and an instructional developer with over 50 years of expertise. He began his career in the United States military in 1972 as an Army utility helicopter flight instructor. He went on to serve as a flight instructor for the 5th SFGA and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment from 1985 to 1992 and as an MH-60 Lima and MH-60 Kilo flight instructor for the IDR Special Operations Training Battalion until 2013. Mr. Crisafulli spent eight years as a special operations flight detachment chief pilot for the United States Army Special Forces. He looks back on this time as among his proudest in service, citing an operation to rescue three Green Beret soldiers during Operation Desert Storm that required him to fly a helicopter extremely close to the ground, racing more than 185 nautical miles to save the trapped soldiers. During this period, he also personally transported former Vice President George H.W. Bush and is proud to have had him sign his flight logbook. Mr. Crisafulli remained in government service with agencies through the 2010s, serving as an MI-17 instructor pilot in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2013 and as an SA-332 Puma pilot through 2014.
