104 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE Before this appointment, Mr. du Bois was a promotional specialist and personal trainer at TribeFit between 2014 and 2018, a personal trainer and class instructor at Femme Fitness between 2013 and 2014, and a personal trainer at LA Fitness UK (now Pure Gym Limited) from 2008 to 2013. He commenced his career in 2004 as a fitness consultant for Virgin Active. Highly educated, Mr. du Bois received a national diploma in sport, recreation and fitness management from the Exercise Teachers Academy (ETA) in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2008. Subsequently, he earned several certifications, including a national certificate in coaching science from the ETA in 2008, a REPS Level 3 certification in 2008, and a personal training certification from the National College of Exercise Professionals in 2019. He attributes much of his success to his ability to listen and respond proactively to others. Davin du Bois is celebrated in the field of fitness services for his leadership prowess, dedication to team development and management, and promotion of wellness initiatives. Since 2025, he has served as the wellness director at Big Canyon Country Club, where he maintains responsibility for overseeing all youth activities – including children’s programs, summer camps and babysitting services – and managing personal trainers and group fitness instructors. Similarly, Mr. du Bois organizes various club programs and manages the spa, in addition to handling daily business operations and meeting with members. He joined Big Canyon Country Club in 2024 as the assistant wellness director, remaining in the role for one year. Earlier in his career, Mr. du Bois worked at Equinox between 2019 and 2024, first serving as a certified personal trainer and a Tier 3+ personal trainer for two years. Shortly thereafter, he was a manager-in-training in 2021, an MNR manager from 2021 to 2022 and a personal training manager from 2022 to 2024. During his tenure, Mr. du Bois honed his expertise in team development and management and achieved a fulfilling career milestone by becoming a manager in his industry.
