Alexandra Weaderhorn, Esq., has been a family and matrimonial attorney at Schonfeld Law Group, P.C. (formerly Schonfeld & Goldring), since 2012. Inspired by her mother, Esther Schonfeld, to pursue a career in matrimonial law, Ms. Weaderhorn earned her JD from New York Law School, with an emphasis on juvenile justice, family law and elder law. During law school, she also gained publicsector experience through work with the Administration for Children's Services in the Bronx. She began working with her firm as a summer associate in 2010 and joined full-time following her graduation in 2012. Ms. Weaderhorn focuses her practice on matrimonial and family law, including matrimonial litigation in both civil and rabbinical courts, as well as mediation. She is a certified Advanced Matrimonial Mediator and takes great pride in her successful mediations. Ms. Weaderhorn has substantial experience handling matters involving the intersection of Judaism and New York matrimonial and family law, including representation in rabbinical courts and matters involving New York’s Get laws. In the coming years, Ms. Weaderhorn plans to expand her mediation practice and continue helping clients resolve divorces and related family-law matters efficiently and thoughtfully.
