Born in Park Forest, Illinois, Dr. Gest currently resides in Emeryville, California. He is the proud father of two daughters and enjoys playing basketball, being in nature and spending time with his family. Highly educated, Dr. Gest ultimately received an MD from Thomas Jefferson University in 1985. After earning his medical degree, he completed a residency in family practice at the Medical Center of Delaware and became board-certified in family medicine. To remain abreast of trends and developments within his areas of expertise, he maintains membership with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Gest attributes much of his success to the influential support and wisdom of his mentors and fellow physicians.
