Alongside these endeavors, Ms. Arnett served as an adjunct and affiliate faculty member at Boise State University from 2015 to 2019, where she focused her expertise on research, evaluation and health promotion as a research associate in the Center for the Study of Aging. From 2017 to 2019, she worked at Terry Reilly Health Services as a funds development manager, and she owned and served as a designer for Arnett Designs from 1997 to 2011, among other prominent roles. Ms. Arnett holds an AAS in graphic design and media arts from Santa Fe Community College and a BS in sport management, with a concentration in fitness and wellness, from California University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, she earned a Master of Health Science in health promotion and a graduate certificate in gerontological studies from Boise State University. With expertise in stress and burnout management, psychological first aid and support, and program development, Michelle Arnett has accrued nearly three decades of experience. Since 2023, she has owned First Help LLC, a company that provides mediation, health coaching and critical incident stress management. She also consults with other organizations to develop critical incident stress management programs and conducts workshops on stress and burnout management, serves as a public speaker at industry events, and delivers virtual and in-person training seminars. In addition to this entrepreneurial role, Ms. Arnett has served as a manager of the Employee Wellbeing Center of Excellence at St. Luke’s Health System since 2022. Joining the health system in 2019, she recognized the need for accessible resources for staff support following clinical events or crises. As such, Ms. Arnett implemented a critical incident stress management program, which included peer support training, on-demand, online psychological first aid training with continuing medical education units. Since establishing this program six years ago, the team has responded to more than 800 requests for support and positively impacted over 3,100 individuals.
