She is professionally affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association and both the Michigan and Flint Music Teachers Associations, and looks forward to earning a formal teaching certificate in 2026. In addition to her primary roles, Ms. Schutt is a swim teacher for all age groups at the Henry Ford Genesys Health Club. Outside her vocational commitments, Ms. Schutt has volunteered extensively in her community, working directly with organizations such as FOCUS Detroit, Catholic Charities, Habitat for Humanity, the Center for Hope Food Kitchen and the Flint Orthodox Christian Fellowship, among others. She attributes much of her success to her supportive family and the church environment in which she grew up. Looking toward the future, Mr. Schutt intends to continue excelling with Genesys PHO and deepen her involvement in music education. Katherine Elaine Schutt is an emerging expert in community health and music education, drawing on years of professional experience. Since 2021, she has excelled as a community health worker at Genesys PHO, where she allocates her time between the Burton office and the emergency room at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, providing vital health resources to patients. During her tenure, Ms. Schutt’s compassion and resourcefulness have thrived in light of her professional interventions with patients, often intervening in cases of homelessness, food and job insecurity, inadequate access to transportation, and health literacy. Prior to accepting her current role, Ms. Schutt earned a BS in public health from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2021. She subsequently became a certified community health worker through the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance in 2022. Concurrently, Ms. Schutt has thrived as a private piano and flute instructor at Grand Blanc Music since 2014, demonstrating her passion for music education.
