Moreover, Dr. Spacek is engaged in his community, having participated in choir activities at First United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas, supported rescue shelters and allocated time to community outreach to support youth development in his area. Dr. Scott Lyman Spacek is an established expert in midwifery and labor and delivery nursing, with over 10 years of professional experience. Since 2021, he has excelled as a labor and delivery nurse at North Kansas City Hospital, part of NKC Health, where he has provided top-quality care to mothers and newborns during significant life milestones. Recently earning a DNP in nursing and midwifery from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2025, he has utilized his doctorate to thrive in clinical environments and advocate for his patients’ well-being more effectively. Earlier in his career, Dr. Spacek served as a registered nurse at Stormont Vail Health between 2016 and 2021, where he honed his skills in obstetrics. He spent the formative years of his career as a registered nurse in psychiatric health care in inpatient, outpatient and acute clinical settings, which informed his approach to compassionate patient care. He earned a BAS in human services in 2007 and a BSN in 2016, both from Washburn University.
