158 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING AUTOMATION AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Jochem Technology Dale, IN For over 40 years, David Bruce Johnson was an innovator in embedded systems and electronics engineering, with a focus on product development across the consumer, scientific, defense and medical fields. In 1977, Mr. Johnson graduated from Brown University with a degree in electrical engineering. Following graduation, he pursued opportunities to exploit his diverse engineering skills in high-technology product development. At Northrop Corp. for over eight years, he overcame the challenges of delivering to market a dual-axis strapdown gyroscope and its controlling electronics. He ascended quickly to senior engineer and member of the technical staff. Mr. Johnson joined Bio-Rad Laboratories, where he obtained several substantial patents in Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy during his 14 years in the analytical product field. The opportunity then presented itself to join a start-up pursuing eyeglass-mounted computer and video products. For the following 10 years, Mr. Johnson developed a wide scope of products for MicroOptical, spanning special applications, medical monitoring and consumer entertainment. His career culminated after 10 years at Draper Laboratory, where he was a lead embedded systems engineer, creating forefront-of-technology products for defense and security. Jeff S. Jochem has solidified his legacy in the fields of automation and engineering, having accrued several decades of expertise. With a specialization in electrical systems, he is particularly proud of his ability to help clients resolve their technical problems, testifying to his unwavering dedication to customer service. Since 2003, Mr. Jochem has served as an automation and electrical engineer at Jochem Technology, where he maintains responsibility for redesigning systems and controllers, as well as applying pioneering solutions to intricate technological issues. Earlier in his career, Mr. Jochem served as a service technician at E&K Electric Inc. and worked in electrical maintenance at JASPER Engines & Transmissions. During his tenure with these two companies, he gained invaluable, practical experience that established the foundation of his later work in automation. He also studied electrical engineering and technology at Pennsylvania State University. In the coming years, Mr. Jochem intends to develop a series of online courses to mentor and inspire the next generation of engineering professionals. He attributes much of his success to the guidance of his own mentors and his ongoing pursuit of learning. LEAD EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ENGINEER (RETIRED) Draper Rockport, MA DAVID BRUCE JOHNSON JEFF S.
