Bové is a radio broadcasting engineer who has spent more than five decades of his career in media and communications. His interest in broadcast media was sparked by a chance interaction as an undergraduate student at Illinois State University. A student on his dormitory floor invited him to visit a local radio station, which inspired him to take classes in broadcasting and communication. With the support of a professor in the department, Mr. Bové helped launch and secure licenses for the school’s first radio station, a project that enabled him to establish early professional connections and pave the way for his first industry jobs. While he initially hoped to pursue a career as an on-air talent, Mr. Bové soon recognized that technical work provided more stability and played to his natural aptitudes. In 1978, Mr. Bové joined International Tapetronics Corporation (ITC), a manufacturer and wholesaler of professional audio equipment for the broadcast media industry. He would remain with ITC for nearly 30 years, rising to become a regional sales manager and technical services manager before departing from the company in 1996 to become director of engineering for Service Broadcasting, now K104. Between 1999 and 2001, he served as an international sales engineer for Broadcast Electronics, another major equipment manufacturer. Mr. Bové was named executive director of operations at HG Energy and Gas Limited in 2001 and spent the next five years developing his executive leadership skills. He then returned to the broadcasting industry in 2006 as director of engineering and IT at iHeartMedia. Between 2008 and 2011, he was a senior engineer at Calhoun Communications, which led to a 12-year tenure at Intentional Life Media, where he served as director of engineering, eventually rising to the position of chief engineer in 2019. Mr. Bové stepped down from Intentional Life Media in 2023 to join Audacy Inc. as chief engineer and departed the company the following year to accept his current role as a regional engineer at iHeartMedia. As a regional engineer, Mr. Bové oversees and troubleshoots station operations both remotely and in person, including managing network connections,
