45 Millennium - Twenty-second Edition ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT as a testament to his talent. He has undergone several workshops at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival to hone his authorial voice. Highly educated, Mr. Langfeld holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from St. Cloud State University and a master’s degree in musicology from the University of WisconsinMadison. Thereafter, he completed coursework in music education and aesthetic education at Northwestern University, as well as coursework toward a PhD at the University of WisconsinMadison. Throughout the duration of his career, Mr. Langfeld has also been an active member of the National Association for Music Education and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the honor society for music educators. Looking toward the future, Mr. Langfeld aims to continue his writing efforts, finding great satisfaction and enjoyment in publishing. of recorder concerts featuring baroque and modern repertoire and collaborated with modern composer Randy Snyder, who wrote original pieces for Mr. Langfeld’s concerts. Mr. Langfeld arranged between 20 and 30 pieces for recorder choirs; his rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen remains one of his personal favorite arrangements. Likewise, Mr. Langfeld has delved into authorship to disseminate his knowledge of and passion for writing, having recently contributed pedagogical essays to the publication “Far Villages: Welcome Essays for New and Beginner Poets.” His work has also appeared in an anthology by Tulsa NightWriters, focused on various politically inspired and Native American themes.
