Donnell is an artist and freestanding rock sculptor who serves as the owner of The Little Pink House in New York. Developing a fascination with stacking rocks at a formative age, he has since created freestanding rock sculptures without the use of adhesives, many of which have remained undisturbed along roadsides for many years. Over time, passersby would often pause to photograph his freestanding rock sculptures, inspiring Mr. Donnell to expand his output to include 65 balanced-design rock pieces. In addition to his sculptures, Mr. Donnell has produced several series of oil paintings with themes that include waterfalls, outer space, fishermen and landscapes. Mr. Donnell has leveraged The Little Pink House to showcase his work, transforming the space into an eclectic, vibrant venue. In addition to hanging rocks featuring his original designs, he offers visitors a range of gifts that have brought joy and a sense of community. His designs and photographs of rock installations have also been featured on calendars, bags, magnets and mugs. Earning recognition in the Freeman’s Journal in Cooperstown, New York, Mr. Donnell aims to enhance his reputation in the art world. MARK J. DONNELL
