Growing up in a large Italian family in Pittsburgh, Mr. Fontana long believed he would follow in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, not into financial planning, but into real estate investment. After receiving an inheritance during his college years, Mr. Fontana decided to take a leap by pausing his studies, purchasing four properties and diving headfirst into the world of real estate. Several years into the business, he had the opportunity to start teaching others in the field via a real estate mentorship program. Alongside mentoring, he also began flipping homes and teaching others how to do the same. He later expanded into development by commissioning the design and construction of 24 townhomes. While a career in real estate granted Mr. Fontana valuable knowledge and experience, he couldn’t help but notice how many people found financial planning difficult to understand. A calling began to form – a desire to give people not only clarity and peace of mind, but also freedom and opportunity. He saw financial planning as the vehicle to help people achieve these goals, and in 2008, he set out on a journey to learn everything he could about the field. By 2017, he began taking on clients, treating them as he would his own family. In 2023, Mr. Fontana founded Fontana Financial Services LLC, a Pittsburgh-based firm that specializes in developing tax-free and tax-efficient retirement plans. In addition to becoming a registered fiduciary, his focus is on distribution and disbursement, assisting
