Simpson is an organizational development and training expert who celebrates more than 25 years of excellence in her specialty. Since 2025, she has focused on building an independent consulting practice that drives transformation and organizational effectiveness. She began her professional journey as a student at Washington University in Saint Louis, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business and French language and literature. Dr. Simpson continued her education with an Executive Master of Business Administration from Saint Louis University and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in educational administration, leadership and policy studies by the University of Missouri in Saint Louis in 2014. Before moving into business administration and organizational leadership, Dr. Simpson worked as a language instructor, teaching French, Spanish and English as a second language to children and adults. Her early experiences in education helped shape the core of her approach to human resources and organizational development, including a strong belief in the value of elevating individual perspectives and celebrating the strengths of each team member. She transitioned into executive leadership as a team lead for Convergys’ e-commerce division, and in 2000, she was named strategic business operations manager for CPI Corporation. Over the next five years, she helped the company launch its Mexican business division, which grew to become one of its most successful. In 2005, Dr. Simpson was named regional store leadership program manager for The Home Depot, where she was responsible for assessing store-level operations and developing a new training manual and standardized process for managing hourly associates. Her initial drafts were adopted and automated for use at all company locations, where they remain in place. She joined U.S. Bank in 2006 as a vice president and manager of national multicultural markets, rising to vice president of strategy and insights in 2014. Throughout her 16-year tenure with U.S. Bank, Dr. Simpson launched several programs, most notably a business resource group that identified allies for hiring and developing Black
