Notably, SBC Solutions Group was initially established in 1992 as a paper recycling firm; however, it shifted to various paper grades and plastics three years later, redefining the firm’s business model. In 2017, the company launched additional services to promote further environmental sustainability solutions. Mr. Hatfield graduated summa cum laude from Urbana University with a BBA in marketing and finance in 1999. Since earning his degree and commencing his career, he has been an invited panel speaker at a sustainability conference hosted by the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, where he was the only business owner representative selected for a panel discussion among Fortune 500 executives. A member of the Association of Ohio Recyclers in his spare time, Mr. Hatfield has also contributed his time to the Columbus Ohio Dream Center and Rock City Church as a volunteer. Similarly, he cofounded the Lewis Center Sharks Youth Softball Organization, served as a coach for the Babe Ruth League Inc., and supported the Children’s Ministry at Vineyard Columbus. As a testament to his success, Mr. Hatfield was honored with the Recycler of the Year Award, recognizing SBC Solutions Group for its meaningful contributions to environmental sustainability. In accounting for his success, he credits the influential support of his parents, Lynn and Betty Hatfield, whose valuable life lessons instilled support and confidence in Mr. Hatfield’s life and career. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hatfield endeavors to continue serving as an invited speaker at conferences and cement his legacy as a devoted public speaker, colleague, husband and father.
