98 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine MEDICINE, HEALTHCARE AND WELLNESS DR. LEONTINE NARCISSE-OGERA SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HEAD OF MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC STRATEGY eNOVA, an IQVIA company Jamaica, NY When Dr. Leontine Narcisse-Ogera started as a surgical resident, her father, a physician assistant, gave her some advice: Never say no to a case, and operate with as many different people as possible because everyone has something to teach you – even if it is what not to do. This advice has served her well, and she approaches her current work in medical communications with the same confidence she applied to surgery. Dr. Narcisse-Ogera is senior vice president of scientific services at eNOVA, an IQVIA company. With expertise in pharmaceutical and scientific strategy, she is tasked with ensuring her team stays on the cutting edge across the pharmaceutical industry and in how patients and physicians understand what is available to them. She also helps run the scientific department and sets excellent performance standards. Through her work, Dr. Narcisse-Ogera aims to improve the quality of care patients receive and providers’ ability to deliver it. Recognizing how limited time and system constraints affect real patient interactions, she encourages clients to create educational pieces that fit the realities of clinical practice. This includes short videos, quick guides or tools providers can use directly with patients so that technology becomes a bridge rather than a barrier. Dr. Narcisse-Ogera focuses on finding practical ways to close gaps in the system, whether through brief digital resources, podcasts, or other formats that support better communication between patients and caregivers. In her eyes, this is where meaningful change actually happens. Originally pursuing surgery, Dr. NarcisseOgera completed a surgical residency at New York Methodist Hospital in 2008, followed by a fellowship in surgical critical care at Westchester Medical Center in 2009. She previously earned a PhD in neuropathology and an MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Latin and pre-med from Columbia University. However, after getting married, Dr. NarcisseOgera no longer wanted to spend 80 to 100
