Thereafter, she obtained an MBA in general business from Loyola Marymount University in 1984 and an executive program certificate in advanced management from Claremont Graduate University in 1986. Furthermore, Ms. Knight holds numerous professional certifications, including a senior professional in human resources certificate from HRCI, an associate coach certificate from the International Coach Federation, and certification in the Six Types of Working Genius from The Table Group, among others. Having volunteered and offered pro bono coaching services for many years, Ms. Knight held several leadership roles within SHRM of Greater Tucson. Serving as president, president-elect, vice president and director of professional development, she has also been the district director of the Arizona SHRM since 2024, earning its Lifetime Achievement Award. Looking ahead, Ms. Knight aims to continue offering executive coaching and leadership development services to foster the next generation of professionals. the University of Arizona from 2008 to 2009 and as the manager of training and development at the California Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1997. There, she drafted a comprehensive curriculum and developed a prominent program that remains active today – a moment she cites as a highlight of her career. Ms. Knight commenced her career in 1978 at McDonnell Douglas Corporation, where she was a branch manager, senior human resources administrator, and administrator for management development and training until 1989. In accounting for her success, Ms. Knight credits her religious faith and its influence on her decisions to embrace lifelong learning principles. In this regard, she often reads industry literature, attends webinars and conferences, and networks with fellow industry professionals to disseminate her knowledge. As such, Ms. Knight is immensely proud of her longstanding tenure in human resources, where she has successfully led process improvement initiatives and guided teams toward measurable results.
