NICHOLS Exhibiting a passion for design and fashion from the age of 8, Rodney E. Nichols is often referred to as “Dr. Fashion” in light of his haute couture prowess. Selling his first original dress in 1984, thus establishing the official commencement of Yendor Sloh’cin Designs, his independent high-class label offers ready-towear sportswear and formal lines for men and women. Equipped with past apprenticeships, he refined his craft in couture techniques and advanced his label significantly, having been featured at the Explosion IV event in Trenton, New Jersey, and at New York and Philadelphia Fashion Week events in the 1990s and early 2000s. Alongside this venture, he is an avid advocate for independent and underground fashion designers. Outside of fashion, Mr. Nichols has dedicated his time as a senior staff representative for the Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1033, in which he protects the interests of those employed by the Lawrence and Mercer County branches of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Likewise, he has taken on the role of caregiver of his mother, Plesie Nichols, emphasizing that the family bond is of the utmost importance in one’s life. Desiring to lead a team of dedicated individuals, Brandon J. Ralph currently serves in various ownership roles across multiple avenues. Since 2014, he has served as the owner of Bruno’s Pizza in Bismarck, North Dakota, in which the establishment was proudly nominated as Small Business of the Year in 2017. He also became the president of B&N Ralph LLC in 2014. In 2016, he joined the North Dakota Country Festival as a co-owner, having also spearheaded a country music podcast in 2020. Prior to his current endeavors, he was a fence technician for Modern Fenceworks in 2014 and worked in delivery and sales for McQuade Distributing from 2005 to 2014. Mr. Ralph studied physical education teaching and coaching, earning an AA from North Dakota State College of Science in 2000 and a BEd from the University of Mary in 2004, where he was inducted into the Track and Field Hall of Fame. Reflecting on his career, he attributes his success to his parents, coaches and business mentors.
