In his position as president, he enjoys training emerging underwriters in the field. He is especially proud of remaining in business and making significant underwriting profits for their carrying partners. Supported by a Bachelor of Science in radio and television broadcasting from the University of Florida from 1973, Mr. Tennant formerly poured concrete on high-rise condominiums for a union construction company during his senior year of college. He attributes his success to his strong faith and his passion for writing and the insurance industry. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand the company exponentially and provide complete offerings for small contractors. Civically involved as well, Mr. Tennant is a supporter of feeding the hungry and homeless populations, and has contributed his time to purchasing backpacks for children and donating to scholarships for young students. Additionally, he has been recognized as an Eagle Scout. Mr. Tennant advises that thefieldof underwriting is comprised of a sense of curiosity, making networking connections and understanding that risks are not static; they evolve over time. He also advises future underwriters in the field to remain consistent in their words and goals and treat their employees well, as their colleagues are the most valuable asset. In recognition of his immense success in the insurance industry, Mr. Tennant was inducted into the Underwriters Hall of Fame. He maintains affiliation with the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association. Following inhis father’s footsteps, Bradley N. Tennant served as an underwriter for various insurance companies for several decades, and emphasizes that his passion for the field has established the foundation of his current career endeavors.
