Remaining at Tulane, he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pulmonology critical care and allergy immunology in 2003 and in sleep medicine in 2008. Additionally, he obtained an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2018. Dr. Chang has worked as a physician at his eponymously named practice, Eduardo E. Chang, MD, PA, and the Woodlands Lung Center & Lung Institute since 2007. In addition, he has been a pulmonologist, intensivist and sonologist with CompHealth since 2019. Specializing in pulmonary sleep and critical care medicine, he also taught as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is a gifted speaker, having enlightened listeners at the local chapter of the American Lung Association, Better Breather’s Club and AWAKE. He is working in several intensive care units, working side-byside with COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory failure, providing critical support. Notably, Castle Connolly named Dr. Chang to Top Doctors in Pulmonology in Houston in 2019. Also named to Top Doctors in 2009, he was the recipient of the Honorary Chair Membership Award from the Tulane University Section of PULM CCM Sleep Medicine and the Bedside Manner Award from Houston Northwest, both in 2008. Dr. Chang also accepted the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award in 2003 and 2007, among other accolades. A lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the University of Texas at Tyler School of Business Alumni Association, Dr. Chang also maintains affiliation with the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Physicians. Furthermore, he is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Harris County Medical Society and Hispanic American Medical Association. Upon receiving a BS in biochemistry and microbiology, magna cum laude, from Loma Linda University in 1991, Dr. Eduardo Enrique Chang was inspired to pursue the medical profession as a lung specialist.
