188 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Desiring to fulfill his father’s dreams of attending medical school, Dr. Paul Felix Kaminski vowed to enter the health care industry. Receiving a BS from Loyola College in Baltimore in 1959, he subsequently matriculated in the University of Maryland, from whom he received an MD in 1963. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Agnes Hospital in 1967 and, shortly thereafter, entered the U.S. Air Force as a captain in 1967. Advancing through the ranks to colonel by 1978, he retired from the military in 1987. Leveraging his medical degree, Dr. Kaminski served the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine as an assistant professor from 1987 to 1992, rising to the title of associate professor until 1995. During this time, he pursued an MEd from the institution, which he received in 1995. That same year, Dr. Kaminski joined the Christiana Care Health System and the Medical Center of Delaware as director of the residency program. In 1999, he became the division director and officially retired in 2006. A diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Kaminski also contributed his time to the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a volunteer scribe. In addition, he has maintained affiliation with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia. Past memberships include the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Likewise, he is a past associate member of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists. While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Kaminski notes that traveling to Europe with the military was a crowning moment, as he was able to experience the culture of Turkey and England. He advises future health care professionals to follow their heart within their careers. Selected for inclusion in the 25th edition of Who’s Who in the East in 1994, Dr. Kaminski received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
