She has maintained affiliation as a board member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Pennsylvania National Oncology Network, the Society of Oncology and the National Society of Hematology-Oncology. As a hematologist-oncologist in private practice in Philadelphia since 1990, Dr. Rene Rothstein Rubin specializes in women’s cancer risk reduction and the care of the underserved community. Her hospital affiliations have included Hahnemann University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital-Presbyterian Medical Center, and she is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In light of her prestige in the medical field, she was elected a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. Prior to establishing her private practice, Dr. Rothstein Rubin earned an MD from New York University in 1982 and completed an internship at Cooper University Hospital in 1985. From there, she was a resident and fellow of Pennsylvania Hospital between 1985 and 1989. Alongside her primary feats, she is an executive board member of the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce and completed a medical mission to Honduras.
