In 1974, he earned a BS in construction technology from Western Illinois University, leading to his first role as a project engineer with the MorrisonKnudsen Company. Excelling there until 1985, he worked in the same capacity with the Hunt Building Corporation until 1991. Relocating to Boise, Idaho, he managed local home building companies prior to establishing Chuck Miller Construction in 2001. He retired from actively building and remodeling in 2017 and founded Chuck Miller Consulting. Mr. Miller was recognized by the National Association of Home Builders as 2018 Builder Remodeler Educator of the Year, 2017 Builder Designee of the Year, 2016 Institute of Residential Marketing Educator of the Year, 2015 Master of Residential Marketing of the Year, and 2009 Certified Graduate Builder of the Year. He was recognized by the Idaho Building Contractors Association as 2017 Builder of the Year and by the Building Contractors Association of SW Idaho as the 2003 Builder of the Year. He is the author of “Plan to Profit: Business Planning for Builders and Remodelers,” which he is translating into an online course. OWNER Chuck Miller Consulting Boise, ID Involved in the foam insulation industry for more than 25 years, Russell E. “Rusty” Schrader has excelled as the owner of Allstate Spray Foam Insulation in Visalia, California, since 2018. Running the insulation foam-spraying business with his family, he initially began working in the construction industry in 1997 until he accrued enough finances to found his own small business. Between 2010 and 2020, he also served as a project manager for ASI, Inc., in California. He attributes his and his company’s success to hard work, dedication, a commitment to customer service and the support of his wife and children, who are also passionate about the field. Featured in “Spray Foam Magazine” and the winner of the Spray Foam Competition at the SFWW Convention in Texas in February 2021, Mr. Schrader and his business are affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. Additionally, he is a member of Spray Foam World Wide. Civically engaged as well, he enjoys conducting pro bono work for veterans in the region. Looking toward the future, Mr. Schrader intends to ease into a well-deserved retirement and allow his children to run the company.
