LOREN MEIERDING Drawing upon his background in philosophy, Dr. Loren Meierding is an established author who has written multiple books throughout his career. The author of the recent book, “The Fourteen Christian Virtues” from 2020, he has also navigated the topic of the problems of evil as it relates to Christianity. In 2020, he also wrote “Faith and Biblical Interpretation,” “A Workbook to the Epistle to the Hebrews” and “A Daily Devotional,” and previously authored such books as “Relationships and Evil” and “God, Relationships and Evil.” Dr. Meierding notably spends six hours per day writing and intends to continue publishing books in the future. Holding a BA in philosophy from Yale University, Dr. Meierding also received an MA and PhD, both in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to delving into authorship, he served as a programmer and developer of PC systems for FileNet Corporation, a systems engineer for Hughes Aircraft Co., and an actuarial assistant for National Associates. Likewise, he has been a teaching assistant and instructor in such areas as ethics, philosophy in literature and Chinese philosophy at the University of Texas and the University of Montana. Supported by a BA in English and theater from Bucknell University and MS in public administration from the University of Southern California, Paul Fisher Rhetts is a publishing executive who has been the senior partner of LPD Press in Los Ranchos, NewMexico, since 1995. Formerly affiliated with the Howard County School System in Maryland for one decade and the Baltimore Community College for three years, he is a past assistant superintendent of Baltimore City Public Schools. He also previously served as a public affairs producer for Maryland Public TV and StationWMAL-TV inWashington, D.C., beginning in 1969. Entrusted with the public information and publications of several organizations, Mr. Rhetts is notable for helping produce the official book of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta’s 40th anniversary in 2011. Notably, he is working on publishing “50 Years of Magic: Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta” for 2021. The recipient of accolades in light of his publishing prowess, Mr. Rhetts is acclaimed for being the designer, co-author, producer and editor of myriad publications, for which he has received recognition.
