A member and state chair of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners since 1991, she has also maintained affiliation with the Financial Planners Association, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and the Association for the Management of Innovation. The recipient of a Presidential Citation in 1982, Ms. White was named Business Woman of the Year for Texas by the business advisory council of the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2003 and 2004, as well as a five star wealth advisor for the Central Texas region by Texas Monthly in 2010. From 2010 to 2017, Money Managers was named among the 25 Largest Financial Planning and Advisory Firms. Ms. White finds the most rewarding aspect of her career to be the influence her firm has had on families. I nfluenced by the financial prowess of her own grandparents, Teresa Jensen White is a noteworthy certified financial planner who has contributed nearly 40 years of experience to her industry. After struggling with disability, she utilized a comprehensive insurance and investment portfolio designed for her by a financial planner, thus allowing her to emerge from her struggles with greater wealth than she originally had. From that point forward, Ms. White desired to contribute to the betterment of her community through financial planning. Since 1981, Ms. White has been the owner and chief executive officer of MoneyManagers, Inc., in San Antonio. Drawing upon previous experience as a private consultant, sales manager of an insurance company and negotiator for the National Maritime Union in Galveston, Texas, she also served in academia as an adjunct instructor for the College of Financial Planning in Denver for 13 years. Likewise, she is an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers and expert witness in advisor compliance for the legal industry.
