Freeman decided to follow the same path. He received a BBA in business administration and management from William Woods University and, subsequently, was hired by the Missouri Department of Transportation as a motor carrier investigator in their Motor Carrier Services Division in 2004. Remaining in that role until 2008, he was elevated to the rank of hazardous materials specialist. From there, he served the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Traffic and Highway Safety Division as a law enforcement manager until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, Mr. Freeman served as a special agent and hazardous materials specialist for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Since 2016, he worked as a safety consultant servicing private industry working with commercial motor carriers. In 2018, he founded DOT Training Solutions LLC located in Overland Park, Kansas, where he serves national and international companies. Although his career has been filled with MATTHEW L.
