37 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT OWNER Kristi Finklea Interiors Denton, TX PHOTOGRAPHER Sunstreak Productions, Inc. New York, NY KRISTINE NASH FINKLEA As a prolific art educator and interior designer, Kristine Nash Finklea developed an innate interest in design during her formative years. She possessed an affinity for locating unique antiques, which she regularly bought and sold. After receiving an MA in painting and art education from Stephen F. Austin State University, she was contracted to furnish an office building in Dallas with antiques. During this time, Ms. Finklea flourished as an art educator; however, upon her discovery of her love for design, she departed from teaching and began her interior design business. Established in 1985 as Antique Environments, her business is now known as Kristi Finklea Interiors and has gained prominence in her area. Ms. Finklea attributes her immense success to her expertise in color and proportion, as well as her breadth of knowledge of the building process. She has often partnered with builders on high-end homes, which she designed, for selling. Although her career has been suffused with highlights, she is especially proud of having her pen and ink drawings selected for a book regarding Texan artists, as well as studying art and architecture in Italy.
