ALFKIN Prior to his retirement in 2017, William P. Alfkin excelled in youth development and social services for Humboldt County, California, for two decades. He continues to serve as a motivational coach. Before he entered the field of human services, he was a design draftsman for various architectural and engineering firms for a resounding 30 years. During this tenure, he sought a career change that would provide him with more fulfillment and, therefore, accepted his position with the Humboldt County Social Services Branch, where he focused his efforts on youth development and coaching programs. For his achievements, he earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Congress of Arts, Science and Communication and a Proclamation from the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors in 2017. To prepare for his career, Mr. Alfkin received an associate degree and AutoCAD certification from the College of the Redwoods, as well as completed coursework at California State University. He also completed an internship with the California Water Resources Control Board’s Nonpoint Source Unit in 1990. For his accomplishments, he was honored as the 2010 Professional of the Year in social services and motivational coaching by the International Biographical Dictionaries. Established in 2018, the My Connie Foundation is an organization founded by Pradeep Kumar Berry in honor of his late wife. Serving as president, he dedicates his time to media outreach and cancer research that challenge the contemporary American health care system. A retired crisis management executive and chartered accountant, he previously took a 10-year hiatus from his vocation to care for his wife, which he recalls as the most fulfilling memories of his career. Mr. Berry authored several books, including “My Connie” in 2017, “The Untold Secret of My Connie, My First and Last Love: Medical Negligence and Conspiracy” in 2019 and “The Medical Conspiracy Behind My Wife’s Demise” in 2020. Proceeds from his books are donated to cancer charities across the nation. Prior, Mr. Berry worked in myriad positions with several prominent companies and is credited with saving 15 financial institutions from bankruptcy. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Sri RamCollege of Commerce, Master of Management from the Pillsbury Institute of Management and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
