As his career progressed, Mr. Hills served Computer Automation as a circuit engineer and project marketing manager of mini-computers before joining AMD in 1981. He served AMD until 1985 in several capacities until joining VLSI Technologies, Inc., and Trancomputer, serving the latter as vice president of sales and marketing from 1989 to 1991. In the latter stages of his career, Mr. Hills served such other companies as Cirrus Logic, Inc., as the director of sales and strategic accounts for IBM, and Alliance Semiconductor. He also excelled in executive-level positions with Silicon Motion, Dialog Semiconductor PLC, Semicoa and IDT/Mobius Microsystems, Inc., serving the lattermost company as worldwide vice president of sales and director of sales and marketing between 2008 and 2013, among others. Since 2016, Mr. Hills has excelled as the worldwide vice president of sales and marketing with Seamless Microsystems, Inc., a provider of analog and mixed signal front-ends for sensor systems. Among his notable achievements, Mr. Hills is especially proud of establishing semiconductor sales teams from scratch, as well as leading strategic sales startups and managing relationships with venture capitalists. He is also proud of making the switch from mainframe computers to mini-computers for commercial and industrial companies. As such, he has developed close relationships with major technology companies such as Intel, Samsung, Apple and IBM. A member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, he has received the President Award from Silicon Motion. He continued to remain involved with UC Berkeley’s SkyDeck and Silicon Catalyst incubators. When he was in junior high school, R. Scott Hills began his ventures into electronics, thus establishing a great relationship with his electronics teacher. Pursuing the subject further, he graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a BS in electronic engineering in 1974 R.
