Since 2021, Dr. Stephens has excelled as a board-certified neurosurgeon at Meritas Health Neurosurgery in North Kansas City, Missouri. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has taken grandmeasures to ensure the safety of his practice and his patients, which have included conducting telemedicine appointments and virtual consultations. Although he has experienced many career achievements, Dr. Stephens is especially proud of his military service, through which he was able to help several soldiers who struggled with brain tumors and other neurological diseases. A member of the American Board of Neurosurgery and the American Medical Association, Dr. Stephens also dedicates his spare time to his faith through the Living the Word Ministries. Married to his wife Kiana for many years, he has three children. During his formative years, Dr. Bradley H. Stephens witnessed many family members struggle with a variety of health care problems. These experiences formed the foundation upon which Dr. Stephens desired to delve into the medical field, as he decided to pursue interventional treatment that would allow him to help others in their critical times of need. To this end, he also developed an interest particularly in neurosurgery, noting that the skillset of a neurosurgeon would allow him to provide care to those with a diverse range of illnesses. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Villanova University in 2006, Dr. Stephens went on to obtain an MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2010. He then completed an MPH from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis in 2015 and finished a residency in neurosurgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2017. Notably, Dr. Stephens enlisted in the United States Army, serving active duty for four years until attaining the rank of major.
