212 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Interested in the medical field early on, Ann Chapman enjoyed working with others, particularly on the emergency room floor. During her high school years, she notably served as a nurse’s aide – this experience opened her eyes to the opportunities before her, and she discovered her niche in life. As time progressed, Ms. Chapman took two years of courses in radiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and, subsequently, worked at several medical facilities across the State of Wisconsin. Serving the Riverview Clinic for a number of years, she also excelled as a supervisor in medical imaging for 25 years. Overall, she had accrued nearly 50 years of expertise in her field as a radiology technologist and x-ray technician at the Dean Health System. Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. Chapman also served as a volunteer at a hospice. She has also maintained affiliation with the American Society of Radiology Technologists throughout her career. Attributing her success to her independent nature, her willingness to help others and her persevering attitude, she was notably named Employee of the Month for her outstanding feats in the industry. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Chapman is especially proud of saving the life of a man who suffered significant injuries during an automobile accident. While driving home, Ms. Chapman witnessed the accident, in which the driver’s car flipped with the driver inside. Ms. Chapman quickly came to the man’s rescue, unstrapping him from the car and, therefore, saving his life. Additionally, she is proud of her daughter, who also pursued a career in medicine. Her daughter specialized in cardiac rehabilitation, became a physician assistant and earned her PhD all due to Ms. Chapman’s inspiration. Married to her late husband for many years, Ms. Chapman is the proud mother of two children and grandmother of two grandchildren. Looking forward, she intends to continue enjoying her retirement.
