In July 2021, she was approved to join her local Kiwanis Club and, after two months of membership, was voted to serve on their executive board as the service leadership contact. The highlight of her career, however, was co-founding the largest bike night on Interstate 95 from Florida to Maine. Ms. Scott is especially proud of advocating for her small town and restaurant after Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Noting that the interstate leading out of the town was flooded, barricading the townspeople in, she and a group of volunteers leveraged her restaurant’s food and brought it to those who were struggling. Afterward, when the Cajun Navy Relief provided aid, Ms. Scott gave them sleeping quarters in the restaurant, which was highly acclaimed by the Navy. Ms. Scott attributes her success to her perseverance, diligent work ethic and desire for continuous learning. She is always willing to improve upon her skills. Since 2015, Lee Scott has excelled as the general manager of Arnold’s Restaurant. Alongside this, she has also served as the general manager of the Village Station 1893 Restaurant since 2019. In her roles with both restaurants, Ms. Scott is responsible for staffing, quality control, restaurant marketing, scheduling, inventory and overseeing her staff of over 100 employees, which elevated her to operations manager at Arnold West Investments. Driven by her love of serving others and being involved in her community, she has become a recognizable figure, enjoying the process of knowing her customers, staff and fellow town citizens and supporting all their endeavors. Prior to delving into the hospitality industry, Ms. Scott earned an associate degree from Robeson Community College in 2011 and has been certified in health insurance billing and coding. She previously served in the medical field and taught for several years.
