324 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION D rawing upon nearly five decades of legal experience, Jonathan Schochor is a prominent lawyer whose expertise in the field is unmatched. Serving as a senior managing partner at Schochor, Federico & Staton, P.A., in Baltimore, Maryland, since 1984, he focuses his practice on medical malpractice, birth injury, wrongful death, environmental torts, opioid litigation and sexual abuse. As a distinguished figure in the legal arena, he has been requested to lecture by both national and international academic institutions, having previously been a guest expert on radio and television features. Mr. Schochor holds a BA from the Pennsylvania State University and a JD from the American University Washington College of Law, where he was associate editor-in-chief of the Law Review. He has since been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He was also admitted to practice law by the Maryland State Bar and the District of Columbia State Bar. Having served the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association as a board member, secretary, vice president and president throughout his career, Mr. Schochor has also been the Maryland state delegate and governor of the American Association for Justice. Equally passionate about civic involvement, he maintains affiliation with The Rita Project, a nonprofit devoted to assisting families who have lost a loved one to teenage suicide, and the Life and Breath Foundation, a charity dedicated to researching and finding the cure for sarcoidosis. Mr. Schochor has received numerous accolades during his career, including being named to Top 100 Lawyers, Maryland Super Lawyers, the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Baltimore and Washington D.C.’s Best Lawyers. The holder of an AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell, he received the Outstanding Liberal Arts Alumni Award from the Pennsylvania State University and was named among the Top 1 Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
