278 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A managing member and partner of Denver-based firm Featherstone DeSisto LLC since 2013, Bruce A. Featherstone is a renowned figure in the legal arena with over 40 years of experience. Featherstone DeSisto specializes their practice in complex civil litigation including trials, administrative hearings, arbitrations, appeals and alternative dispute resolution. Specifically, Mr. Featherstone has represented both corporate and individual clients before federal and state courts across the nation, boasting extensive expertise in environmental and toxic tort claims, oil and gas, securities law and common law fraud, breach of contract, products liability, copyright and patent infringement, and malpractice, among other areas. Commencing his legal career in 1977, Mr. Featherstone was an associate and then partner at Kirkland & Ellis for 19 years before progressing to other firms bearing his name. From 1996 to 1999, he was managing partner of Featherstone & Shea LLP and soon thereafter, served in the same capacity for Featherstone DeSisto LLP until 2006. From 2006 to 2013, he was a managing partner of Featherstone, Petrie, DeSisto LLP before starting his current role. At the inception of his career, Mr. Featherstone was involved in journalism as a reporter for political affairs. Deciding he ultimately wanted to delve further into law, he received a Bachelor of Arts in economics, cum laude with distinction, from Yale University and a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and was an articles editor of volume 75 of the Michigan Law Review. Affiliated with the American Association for Justice and the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, Mr. Featherstone is AV-Rated through Martindale-Hubbell and was named a Colorado Super Lawyer. Passionate about trials and litigation, he thoroughly enjoys dipping his toes in different industries and conversing with clients and colleagues alike.
