306 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine a graduate teaching research assistant from 1973 to 1978, and a research associate at Texas A&M University from 1978 to 1980. For his excellence in research, Dr. Felthouse was the recipient of the Analytical Division Undergraduate Award in 1972. Additionally, from 1969 to 1973, he was a California State Scholarship recipient. A highlight of his career was his first patent, which led to himwriting many papers that he later presented and published. He now holds 10 U.S. patents and several international patents. He was the lead author on a review for two editions on maleic anhydride, maleic acid and fumaric acid. Dr. Felthouse is a member of the American Institute of Chemists, New York Academy of Sciences, Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Xi and Phi Lambda Upsilon. He was previously American Chemical Society—St. Louis section finance committee chairman, science fairs chairman and news editor, and chairman of the Monsanto Catalysis Club. D r. Timothy R. Felthouse had a knack for chemistry in high school, and in his college organic chemistry lab, he outperformed the pre-medical students. He received a BS in chemistry from the University of the Pacific in 1973 and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1978; the university happened to be the largest producer of PhD-level chemists at the time. Since 2016, Dr. Felthouse has been a technology fellow at DuPont Clean Technologies, Inc., and from 2011 to 2015, he was a technology fellow with DuPont Sustainable Solutions. Dr. Felthouse was also a fellow at MECS, Inc., Monsanto Co. and Huntsman Specialty Chemicals Corp. Additionally, between 1980 and 2003, he served as a catalyst research scientist, senior research specialist, senior research chemist and research specialist at Monsanto, as well as senior research associate at Huntsman. At the inception of his career, Dr. Felthouse was a National Science Foundation Research Participant at Washington State University in 1972 and research assistant at the University of the Pacific in 1973.
