153 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A t the inception of his career, Byron Keith Veasey was a civil engineering officer in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1983. Due to his interest in computer-integrated manufacturing, he became fascinated with how data was stored and managed. Although he had received a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California in 1979, he felt drawn to database technologies, data modeling and data architecture. It was at this point that he decided to enter the field of data management. Mr. Veasey’s first position was as a computer- integrated manufacturing engineer for Pantex Plant-Mason & Hanger from 1983 to 1987. Thereafter, he ascended the ranks to become a consulting manager, senior consultant, information systems consultant, information architecture manager and data architect. Since 2015, he has been a quality assurance manager in the data warehouse of E*Trade Financial in Alpharetta, Georgia. In addition, he is a certified scrum master, PMI professional in business analysis and PMI Agile certified practitioner. Alongside his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Veasey holds a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University and aMaster of Management in management information systems from the University of Dallas. A longtime member of the Project Management Institute, he is also a former member of the DMA League of the Dallas Museum of Art, a board member of the Dallas Wind Symphony, a president of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, and a former vice president of programs for the Association for Systems Management. Mr. Veasey was honored as a 40 Under 40 listee through the Dallas Business Journal in 1993. In addition, he has been highlighted in the fifth edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and the 31st edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World. Looking forward, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his blossoming career.
