Eilene Bloom Group is a legal search and recruiting company, placing lawyers, practice groups and firms in settings best-fitted for their expertise. The group’s specialties include partner placement and search, law firm mergers, associate placement and search, acquisition and placement of practice groups, geographic expansion and personal coaching. For her unmatched success in her industry, Ms. Bloom was the recipient of the 100 Leading Legal Consultants Award in 2019. Prior to her current role, Ms. Bloom was a partner at Foster, Bloom Legal Search LLC from 2014 to 2015 and the managing director of Major, Lindsey & Africa from 2013 to 2014. For eight years, she served as a director at Mestel & Co. and commenced her career as vice president of Reliance Group Holdings. Ms. Bloomwas a dedicated member of the company from 1980 to 2000. Ms. Bloom attributes her career success to her perseverance, and for never taking no for an answer. In her field of recruiting, she believes it is imperative to be both technically smart, as well as emotionally smart, which can be quite difficult to teach. Naturally, she is able to make use of those qualities, which adds to her credibility on guiding clients to make career moves. Ms. Bloom is proud to have been the first woman vice president of Reliance Group, which has helped paved the way for subsequent women in the company. She notes that it is especially important for women to take part in what are typically known as male- dominated fields. In five years’ time, and moving forward into the future, Ms. Bloom would like to continue helping people and do more succession planning. She says that she hopes to reap the benefits of the career that she worked long and hard to build, and to continue experiencing the growth of her own career. She also plans to remain a volunteer for several charities and at her local temple.
