330 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine K en Lowery was a student at Kansas State University in the 1960s and went on to have an eclectic career as an emergency medical technician, firefighter and government contractor. Since 2009, he has worked with Jostens, a yearbook division printing company, and also dedicates his time to serving as executive director of the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation. The Comal County Senior Citizens Center serves 1,400 members within four counties in Texas and has delivered more than 10,000 meals per month to home-bound seniors with the Meals on Wheels program. A respected member of the community, Mr. Lowery was asked to get involved with the senior center by its board members. He has since aided the senior center in achieving financial stability and has provided guidance. In his role, he has hosted technology classes to acquaint seniors with televisions and smart phones, and identifying telephone fraud. In 2019, Mr. Lowery received the Outstanding Nonprofit Performance Award and Community Award from the City of New Braunfels, Texas. A member of the National Lions Club and Eagles Club, he attributes his success to having a passion for his work. Wesley Vinton Hromatko received a BA, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in 1969, and an MA in 1971 and DMin in 1973, both fromMeadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago. In 1973, he was ordained to ministry by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). The recipient of the Entemann Ohanian Award in 1975, he has notably served as a minister throughout the nation. Since 1990, Dr. Hromatko was a speaker at numerous Unitarian Universalist Churches and was invited to speak at UUA headquarters. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he was an honorary minister of Church of the Larger Fellowship, and minister at First Congressional Parish, All Souls Church inMassachusetts, First Unitarian Church inHobart, Indiana, and Oaklandon Universalist Church in Indianapolis. He was a student minister at AbrahamLincoln Fellowship, Unity Temple andThirdUnitarian Church in Illinois. Furthermore, he owns a Minnesota Century Farm. Dr. Hromatko is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association, American Civil Liberties Union, Meadville Lombard Theological School Alumni Association, University Minnesota and University of Chicago Alumni Associations, and the Unitarian Universalist History and Heritage Society.
