222 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS D r. Keneth Hall II is themedical director of the Hernia Center, Weight Loss Center and Wound Centers at Rome Health. Since 2019, he has been instrumental in bringing minimally invasive general surgical techniques to the forefront of the institution. Additionally, he performed some of the first minimally invasive weight loss surgeries ever done at the facility. He received an MD from Howard University College of Medicine, where he completed an internship at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He underwent a general surgery training program at Stony Brook University Hospital before completing a minimally invasive, robotic and bariatric surgical fellowship at NYU Long Island. Dr. Hall was featured in New York Times for the Rising Star Award, multiple Top Doctor Awards and, in 2016, was honored with the 40 Under 40 Achievement Award from the Network Journal. Additionally, he was featured in MD News Magazine, Newsday and Rome Sentinel Newspaper. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and American College of Surgeons. He recently helped start a new bariatric program, offering surgeries for obese patients. After completing an internship in dietetics in 1970, she was set on building a future for herself within nutrition. Ms. Harper commenced her career as director of dietetics at Logan County Hospital, where she worked from 1965 to 1980. She ended her career as an instructor of nutrition at her alma mater in 1992. Between 1983 and 1990, Ms. Harper served as a consultant and institutional dietetic administrator at Western State Hospital, and dietitian for Rivendell Children’s Psychiatric Hospital. Notably, Ms. Harper was awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award from Phi Upsilon Omicron in 1997, among other recognitions. Of her numerous achievements, Ms. Harper is most proud her publication on meal and oral antibiotic interference in Kentucky hospital; it was referenced in Powers’ “Food and Drug Handbook.” Ms. Harper was president of the Logan County Home Economist Club and a member of the National Nutrition Network, Bowling Green- Warren County Nutrition Council, National Center for Nutrition and Dietetics, Kentucky Nutrition Council, International PlatformAssociation, Diabetes Care and Education and Dietitians in Health Care Communities.
