Mr. Corral attributes his success to his diligent work ethic and passion for the industry, along with his ability to take responsibility for his actions. Notably, he has received myriad accolades from the Builder’s Association and International Awards fromMacael, Spain. Maintaining affiliation with the International Society of Arborists and American Society of Landscape Architects, he also spent ten years on the SouthMiami Environmental Review and Preservation Design Board. Mr. Corral has defined his mission as treating others as you would like to be treated. He notes that he has always treated his employees as a family unit and emphasizes to themthemeaning of ethics. He is most proud of witnessing those who have worked for him departing from his company and establishing themselves as prominent figures in the world. Looking toward the future, Mr. Corral intends to continue working, as he is incredibly passionate about his career path. Interested in drafting and architecture since high school, and the courses not being offer at his school as an elective, Mariano Corral, to achieve his passion, enrolled in night school for two years until his graduation in 1971. Not long after high school graduation, architect Ted Gottfried hired Mr. Corral and gave him the opportunity to further enhance his skills and introduce him to the reality of the profession. In 1973, he graduated with an associate degree from Miami Dade College. Working for several architects, landscape architects, engineers and construction firms shortly thereafter, he earned a BA in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University in 1978. In 1982, Mr. Corral spearheaded his own landscape architecture firm, titled Mariano Corral and Associates, P.A., in Miami. Specializing in a variety of landscape architectural designs, land planning, and golf course architecture, he also often goes to high schools and discusses his profession with high school students. Continually reading and researching in the field, Mr. Corral has been published in the national magazine of the Builder’s Association and in local magazines and has appeared as guest speaker on television shows.
