Drawing upon a BS in business and general management from the University of the Incarnate Word, Mr. Sills received an MBA in strategy and leadership at the University of Delaware in 2021. Additional certifications and designations have included the chartered financial consultant, registered corporate coach and certified financial planner designations. He holds FINRA Series 7, 8, 24, 63 and 65 licenses, and he is licensed in life, health and variable annuity. Mr. Sills is an advisory board member of Teach for America, a Trustee At Large of the Wawaset Maintenance Corporation, and holds multiple roles for Children and Families First, including Corporate Secretary, Chair of the Audit Committee, member of the executive and finance committees, and President of Endowment of the Board of Directors. Prior, he was a commissioner of the CFP Board Commission on Standards. As the oldest of five siblings, Jeffery S. Sills began working at the age of 17, first for a grocery store and then for a gas station following the passing of his father due to cancer. Intrigued by the concept of money and desiring to teach others, he subsequently opened his own business, a wholesale electric supply company. After several years, Mr. Sills took on a role as an account executive for EF Hutton in 1987. Shortly thereafter, he began working for Shearson Lehman in 1988 as a divisional director and then national director of sales for personal financial planning. He was promoted to regional director of mutual funds and annuities in 1990 prior to his tenure as a branch office manager beginning in 1993. Mr. Sills worked for such companies as Smith Barney as senior vice president of wealth management, USAA as executive director of wealth management and organizational transformation, and Capital One as senior vice president and head of national advice and planning.
