Lawrence, KS OF COUNSEL Ensley Benitez, P.C. Dallas, TX DAN CARY Interested in the stock market from an early age, Dan Cary bought his first stock at the age of 18. Supported by a BA in Russian area studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MA from the University of Kansas, he commenced his career with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., in 1994. Serving as a financial advisor since that time, he has also recently taken on the role of a private wealth advisor, a position he has also held since 2018. Attributing his success to his positive mindset, Mr. Cary has always done what is necessary to accomplish his goals. Notably, he is a former captain of the United States Army from 1984 to 1992, and he maintains civic involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, for whom he served as treasurer. Likewise, he is a board member of the Salvation Army and a member of the Certified Financial Planners Association. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Cary is particularly proud of witnessing his clients’ successes with his help as a financial and wealth advisor. Looking toward the future, he intends to ease into retirement. Currently serving as of counsel at Ensley Benitez, P.C., John C. Hart was a partner at Brown Proctor Howell LLP in Fort Worth, Texas, from 1998 until 2020. After attending law school at Northwestern University and attaining a JD from the University of North Dakota Law School in 1971, he went on to serve as a partner at Robins Kaplan LLP from 1973 to 1981, vice president of Gollaher and Hart from 1981 to 1984, and president of Hart & Engen from 1984 to 1987. Mr. Hart then excelled as president of Hart & Associates from 1987 to 1988, managing partner of the South-Central regional office of Robins Kaplan from 1988 to 1993 and partner at Cantey & Hanger LLP from 1993 to 1998. Admitted to practice in Minnesota and Texas, Mr. Hart previously served in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of major. He has been admitted before numerous Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
