41 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Ms. Tsalamata received a Diploma in Graphic Design at the Athenian Technical Institute and a BFA in fine arts painting from the Academia di Belle Arti di Bologna in Italy. Earning an MA in printmaking from the Slade School of Fine Arts, University College of London, she also pursued postgraduate papermaking coursework at the London College of Communication and research programs on new media, advanced printmaking anddigital imaging at Columbia College inChicago. She also completed research on eco-printmaking with Edinburgh Printmakers in Scotland. Ms. Tsalamata is involved in international projects and collaborations, and is a lecturer in Greece and abroad, invited curator of the Skirinio Museum Polychronopoulos of the Varosi Municipal Museum’s Greek Section in Gÿor, Hungary, and of the XylonMuseum+Werkststatten, Greek Section in Schwetzingen, Germany. She represented Greece at the XXII, XXI and XVIII Biennials of Alexandria in Egypt as member of the Greek delegation. Her work has been exhibited internationally at juried biennials and solo exhibitions in museums, universities and institutions, including in Greece, Sweden, Egypt, Belgium, France, India, Italy, Korea, Poland, Japan, Romania, Turkey and Russia, among other countries. Ms. Tsalamata was a First Prize recipient at the International Competition in Sera San Quirico, Italy, in 1975, the First Prize at the International Triennial in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2008, and awarded with the Prize of Belgrade Academy of Arts at the Fifth Belgrade International Printmaking Biennial in 1999. She has earned several first place printmaking accolades from the International Arts Guild Art Competition and the 34th Thessaloniki International Exhibition. She has been a guest artist in international residencies in Europe. Her artwork is in public collections around the world. Noteworthy for being an international visual artist and printmaker, Vicky Tsalamata served as a full professor, head of the printmaking department from 2010 to 2015, and director of the Second Printmaking Studio at the Athens School of Fine Arts in Greece from 1998 until attaining emeritus status in 2016.
